At Johnson Family Dentistry, one of our regular reasons to smile is our pets. So, it’s no surprise that Other End of the Leash in Downtown Durham is one of our favorite retail destinations. If you’re a pet lover, read on to learn why.

Independently owned by longtime Durham residents Diane Groff and LeAnn Hinson, Other End of the Leash provides thoughtfully curated pet supplies and holistic nutrition. Looking for fresh baked pet treats? Look no further than their on-site gluten free kitchen, which cranks out fresh goodies throughout the day.

The ingredients they use are free of by-products, fillers, artificial flavors and colors, and chemical preservatives. They do extensive research to ensure they are providing the best products that are also fair trade, sometimes even discontinuing or not carrying a popular brand that isn’t up to their standards.

Their number one goal “is and always has been providing the best quality products for our customers and your fur children. Durham (and our “fur children”) wouldn’t be the same without them.

You’ll find them on W. Main, caddy-corner to Trattoria Salve (just look for the shop with happy pups coming out of it).
