ROOT CANAL

How can I tell if my tooth is broken?

Have you had a root canal on that tooth?

A tooth has to be healthy (infection-free) and strong (mechanically sound). It’s possible, after a root canal, for a tooth to become dehydrated, brittle and possibly fracture or crack under the normal chewing forces of the mouth. Typically, a full coverage crown is recommended to prevent cracking. If you suspect you have cracked a tooth with a root canal, see your dentist for an accurate diagnosis.
