Should I Get Dental X-Rays While I’m Pregnant?

Talk to your local dentist who can make recommendations based on your unique circumstances.

Generally speaking, Dental X-rays are safe while you are pregnant, but precautions to protect you and your baby need to be taken. Use of the leaded apron and thyroid collar will protect you and your baby from radiation exposure. Dental X-rays do not need to be delayed if you are trying to become pregnant or are breastfeeding.
