PREGNANCY

What’s the best way to care for my teeth while pregnant?

Stick with your daily brushing (twice) and flossing (once) routine. Consider switching to soft-bristled toothbrush and softer floss to help with any gum discomfort you may be experiencing as part of your pregnancy. You should still visit your dentist for check-ups to make sure everything looks good and to see if your pregnancy is affecting your oral health. Your dentist may recommend foregoing any x-rays until after the baby is your born.

Lastly, if you are experiencing morning sickness, make sure you rinse your mouth or brush as soon as you can to help regulate the acidity in your mouth.
