TOOTHACHE

How do I get a toothache to go away?

Does the pain continue after you drink something cold?

If the pain lingers and your tooth throbs for up to 30 seconds after drinking, there is a good chance the tooth has irreversible pulpitis. This means an infection or mechanical trauma has gotten extremely close or into the nerve (pulp) of the tooth. If you are experiencing this sensitivity contact your dentist – it’s important to treat the problem before the nerve is dead.
